Dealer History

Frank Vindis founded the group in 1960. Vindis was a participant in World War II where he served as a Czech spitfire pilot. At the same time, the first retail store was opened in Sawston, Cambridgeshire. Vindis was actively involved in his sons' upbringing and education, so it's only natural that it was his children, Gary and Nigel, who inherited the company and were successfully running it until April 2013.

Thanks to their efforts, dedication and hard work, the group grew exponentially. Unfortunately, Nigel passed away in 2013, which was a terrible loss not only for the family but also for the employees of the Vindis Group. In May 2013, the company's management got a new CEO, Gary's son, Jamie who proved to be an extremely diligent and hardworking person and was very helpful to President Gary. For years, the Vindis Group has had the right to represent many world-renowned car brands such as Audi, Bentley, Škoda and Volkswagen. The Vindis Group has also signed a contract with the German car giant that guarantees them the right to represent Volkswagen trucks. The following step was forming a dealership with Ducati and launching two new stores where these models would be exhibited. The group's most recent significant achievement was the purchase of the Milton Keynes Seat.

The group currently owns two trade departments at Bishops in Cambridge with the headquarters in Huntington. They also own a large Fleet Centre situated at Alconbury Weald. It is important to point out that the company relies heavily on the core values it was founded upon.
